Dental fillings are used to repair and even restore teeth. There are many reasons why you would require a dental filling. One of the most common reasons would be to fill a tooth due to decay (a cavity). Fillings are also used to fix broken, cracked or chipped teeth and can even be used to improve esthetics.

The two most commonly used materials are composite (tooth-colored fillings) and amalgam (silver fillings). Composite (tooth-colored fillings) can be used for the front and back teeth. This type of material is used to match the shade of your teeth, providing a more natural appearance and better esthetics. Amalgam (silver fillings) are mostly used for the back teeth and are preferable in certain situations. We will discuss which material would be best suited for you and your needs!
