The Wand Anesthesia (freezing/numbing) system is a computer-controlled delivery of local anesthesia, using a pen-like device. The Wand does not have an intimidating appearance like a needle and allows more comfort for patients. The Wand is painless and provides targeted numbing to the desired areas, which helps reduce fear and anxiety.
Digital X-rays are photos we take of your teeth to assess your oral health. X-rays help identify problems such as cavities, infections, bone level, abnormalities and to determine the overall health of your teeth. Digital X-rays can be viewed instantly on our computer screen and also use less radiation than traditional film-based x-rays.
Ultrasonic instrumentation is a tool that the hygienist may use for your dental cleaning. Unlike traditional manual instruments, the ultrasonic scaler (PIEZON) uses volume/pressure of water to facilitate your dental cleaning. This helps remove stubborn tartar from above and below the gumline safely and effectively, helping with patient comfort during procedure. When it comes to maintaining oral health, utilizing ultrasonic scaling is a proven standard of care.
